Kellie Martin is an American actress in television, film as well as stage actor. Her most famous parts include Christy Huddleston (Christy) as part of the period show Christy", Rebecca Thatcher (Life Goes On); and Lucy Knight ("ER") in the medical drama ER". Her other roles of note include the title role of the Hailey Dean Mystery series. Born to a department-store buyer and a kindergarten teacher, Martin started her career in acting when she was just seven when her aunt, who served as an nanny to Michael Landon's children was able to help her get a guest spot in the 1982 show 'Father Murphy'. After she graduated from Yale University in 1982, Martin decided to pursue her acting career more serious. Her roles were significant on television as well as on the big screen. Martin as well as being a skilled actress and dancer, is also a skilled ballet photographer. Being a mom to two kids, she's become the National spokesperson for Lupus. Martin has been spreading the word about this disease ever since her younger sister passed away due to the disease at 19.
